About the eVisitor
The eVisitor is an electronic visa for Australia. It allows you to enter the country and stay for up to 3 months.
The electronic visa is a multiple-entry travel permit that is valid for 1 year. You can enter and leave Australia multiple times until it expires.
You can get your eVisa for Australia through the online application system. You simply need to provide your personal details, passport data, and contact information, as well as a photo of yourself and a digital image of your passport.
Documentation requirements for eVisitor
You only need a few items to apply for a eVisitor:
- Valid passport
- Recent passport-style photo
- Email address
- Debit or credit card
Your passport must be from one of the countries listed above.
You must enter your passport details and upload a scanned image of the same passport. This must include the 2 lines of letters, numbers, and characters at the bottom of the information page (the Machine Readable Zone).
You’ll receive all correspondence by email, and the payment card is to pay the processing fee.

Once you have submitted the online eVisitor application, you will receive all notifications and updates by email.
